Coopers Run 2012 part !

7-28-12
If you missed this years Cooper's Run, you missed out.

 On the run...

 Actually running...
... with Ryan in toe.
 Police and all the Mascots.
A family that own a property on the corner, gardening, had a fun view of us all passing.

So amazed at these teenage boys that air jumped/ran it the whole 5 k.

High school cheerleaders at the water stops...
Just about to the best part. Getting close to the kofford house where pictures of cooper and different police and fire men are displayed the last 1/8 of the run.

 Get ready...
 almost crossing the finish line.
 Then others...

 The EMT helicopter landing.
My mom and all her kids: Chance, Jennifer, Me, Stephanie, Mom, Michelle, jana, Elizabeth, Wendy and Cameron. Phiew

Later that night, we were invited to the cemetery for a reverent ritual of spiritual music and a gorgeous sunset. The colors in the sunset were an amazing orange, one of Coopers favorite colors.

Two violinists played primary songs and hymns for about 40 minutes. It was amazing to just sit and listen. So happy we were invited to be a part of this spiritual event. The peace that surrounded all that were there was quite amazing. Words can not explain it.
 Jana and Quinn
Looking up at the hummingbirds flying close over head.

 Wendy and Lance Smith

Pictures can't even portray the different hues of orange that painted the sky.

Ryan and I. I was trying to be very discreet about taking pictures. I didn't want Quinn to be mad that he had invited me. But I wanted to capture some of the beauty that was present on such a beautiful evening.

LIncoln was passed out on a blanket. This was about 8 pm, even though it was still light out. After having been in the sun for most of the day, I'm not surprised he was put to sleep by the calming music.

 Quinn thanking everyone for coming

Wendy, Avery and Naomi dusting grass off Coopers head stone.

Quinn wiping any water residue just before we all packed up and left.

The pictures you don't get to see are those of Jana and Quinn hugging Wendy, then Lance. It was so dark by then and like I mentioned, I didn't want to be annoying and use flash during a priceless moment. See what happened when I tried to real quick with Quinn? Blurrrrred. But watching Jana's  silent walk over to Wendy, helping her up and standing there hugging her was a great show of love in a time that could be filled with anger and hatred. I am so proud to be a spectator of these events that show sorrow, yet growth and an amazing strength of the true meaning of what it is to be disciples of the Savior.
