Christmas 2011

Waking up and having to wait till mom and dad were ready to take the pictures of the girlies seeing their gifts for the first time.

Naomi wanted this hat soooo bad from her school gift shop. I snagged it when she wasn't looking and gave it to the moms helping at the cash register. When she came back, I told her another student took it and said she was going to give it to her sister. Naomi was so distraught cause it was the last hat and she took me to the holiday gift shop to show me just this. So I was able to snag it and give it to her for Christmas. She will look back and be embarrassed at how silly this looks, but for now, mom scored.

Nanna and Pappy gave Naomi a 3DS. It came with Super Mario Brothers game that they are so enthralled with and can't put down.

Heidi asked Santa for the 2011 American doll of the year, Kanani. She is in love with her.

Audrey didn't get anything from Santa. She didn't send him a letter!!! Or that's what we told inquisitive minds that wondered where her gifts were. Mom and Dad gave her a few little toys, but she had more fun playing with all the discarded wrapping paper and ribbons than any toy in a box. Oh to have a simple desire for so little in life.

Heidi's stash!!!!

Can you tell what this is? I found it under Heidi's side of the bed. It's the cookie part of oreo cookies. She snuck them from the cupboard, put them in a bag, tucked them in bed with her and licked all the inside (crisco) out and put the cookies back in the back, then hid them under her bed. Oh, Heidi!

The funny thing is that this event has accured at least 2 other times since. I now put all sugar treats in the highest cupboard she can't reach, even with a stool.

Monrovia Holiday Parade Wednesday December 7th, 2011

Naomi, Lauren Tripp and Emily Harvey walked with the Center Stage group up Myrtle Avenue for the Holiday Parade. It was a veeeeeeery cold night, after a chilly few days of wind storms and a cancelled/rescheduled parade due to the 120 mph winds that knocked over many trees, power lines, and the power to a lot of cities. The girls were troopers.

Emily Harvey, Lauren Tripp and Naomi, huddling together to stay warm.

Sara, Julia and Heidi weren't in the parade, but they were able to ride in the truck that drove ahead of the singer/dancers. They started out sitting in the back with the speakers, but the longer we sat waiting for Center stages turn to fall in line with the parade, the colder they got, so they ended up in the back of the cab. They had fun, even though they weren't technically in the parade.

Ryan's 36th Birthday: December 18th 2011

Ryan's birthday fell on a Sunday, so we had a dinner party for him at our home with our immediate Rossiter family; Me, Ryan, obviously, our girls, Chris, Caroline, Dara and Barbara. Ron couldn't make it. :(
I tried to be creative and use candles to make a 36 on the cake, since I didn't want to really put thirty six candles on his little cake. But, it's hard to make out the numbers. Can you see them?

Ryan LOVES chocolate right now. So I made a Devils Food Cake with chocolate chips and chocolate frosting.

Presents!!!

OH, cloths! That's all he wanted.
