May 7th, 2010. Once again, Heidi loves to be silly and make other people laugh at her funny faces.

Heidi Silly faces

Heidi, 3 yrs old, is in a new faze of wanting to take a picture of her doing a silly face, then see it on the camera right after you take it. She even does this with the video camera, which is really annoying. She wants to see herself by turning the screen around to watch herself making faces at the camera. So at this stage of life, it is hard to get a picture of her smiling, unless she is being really cheezy with a scrunched up nose and squinty eyes. I'm sure she'll grow out of it, but for now it is an interesting part of her quirky little personality.

Tolman Wedding

Ryan and I had the privilage of attending the wedding reception of Brooke Tolman and Cyriss... The reception was held at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, the old Ritz hotel. It was fabulously, amazingly beautiful. My sisters Wendy and Jennifer made the huge foral arrangements in large erns that sat outside the entrance into the main reception hall. The table and chairs with all the pictures on it was right as you walked in, just before the recieving line. Of course it is amazingly fabulous again.

My little camera didn't take great pictures inside cause the lighting was dimbed, but these are a few I did take to be able to show my sister Jana Lynn, who wasn't able to attend, how beautiful everything turned out.

I wish all the best to Brooke and Cyriss as they start life together.

Lights "Pure Imagination" 2010

Naomi was in her 3rd year performing in "Lights," The showcase for Center Stage Dance Academy. This years theme was "Pure Imagination." Naomi's Tap dance was to "Putt'n on the Ritz." It was very cute. The girls in her class are in an in-between age where they did a few more difficult steps, but it was still fun and simple. Each girl had a hard time keeping a smile on thier faces cause they would concentrate on the step, or what came next. It was adorable and they pulled the routine off in the end.
Naomi was also in the Opening number. "Don't Stop Believing," the Glee version. She enjoys performing more than class time, but I think she was ready to not be at the theater so often by the time the Saterday shows rolled around. As you can tell she loves to pose in her costume.

Easter 2010

On April 3rd, we went to the LA Zoo for the Spring Fling Exstraveganza! We arrived early since we are Glaza members this year and could partake of the festivities before the general crowd was let in. The girls pet real bunnies, colored paper bunny ear, got their faces painted like a bunny, received from peeps and a cup with carrot seeds in dirt, and the chance to walk around the zoo before it became way too croweded. It was hard to push a stroller all around since the LA Zoo is on a lot of hills and spread out very far. But the girls liked seeing the animals, especially the humungous hippo who moved so slow on his short legs.

Yo Gabba Gabba Tattoo!

So, I was standing waiting for the tram at Disneyland and saw this couple that were tattood from head to toe, no joke. I started to check out the face, arms, legs, when the mom turned and I saw her Left leg. My eyes widened in amazement at what I saw. I turned to Heidi and Naomi and pointed toward her leg saying, " look girls, at her leg. Who is that?" Naomi giggled cause she knew exactly who it was, but also knew we aren't supposed to tattoo out bodies for real. Heidi just stared, then fell asleep. I tried to be casual as I got my camera out cause I had to take a picture.

As you can see, this family has to be huge Yo Gabba Gabba fans if the mom would go so far as to cover her left lower leg in every character, logo and boom box from the show. Foofa and Plex were colored in but I'm sure she was doing the coloring of the other characters over time.

I didn't make a big deal out of it, or say that "I am toodee", cause how do you really respond...? And I didn't want Naomi to brag about it cause I feel sheepish explaining that I am Toodee from the first two seasons. So I just took this picture and said nothing to them. But really! Who loves the show that much that they would tattoo thier leg with every character, including the "spooky toast?"

Naomi's 6th birthday weekend 3-11 to 3-14-10

I told Naomi we weren't going to have a birthday party for her this year, since it wears me out to throw them. So I told her we were going somewhere, as a surprise. I picked her up from school on Thursday the 11th of March and told her we were leaving right away to drive to visit Easton and Emma at their new home in Northern Ca. She was excited, but now too thrilled with the 6 1/2 hr drive since she didn't feel well and was having a hard time breathing. She slept for about the first 2 hours, then asked if we could go home around the third. I reasured her that it would be fun if she just waited till we got there. I had never been to No Ca, so I was just as clueless as to where we were going as she was. But we finally pulled into Rocklin around 9:30 pm.

Lindsay had planned a few things for us to do. On Friday we went to Bounce U, a warehouse filled with all sorts of bounce houses. The kids loved it. Lindsay and I even went on a lot of the slides with the kids. Then on Saterday we went to Fairytale land. It is a glorified park, but the kids loved all the themed areas to climb and play on.

Then we went back to Lindsays house and had cupcakes we had bought earlier in the day @ a specialty cupcake store. I had bought a few gifts for her to open, and Lindsay, Easton and Emma had picked out one too. It was a "small party" to satisfy her want of a party.

The Bleeckers were gracious hosts. The kids had fun in a new place and visiting with friends.
