Day 6 & 7: "This is the Place Monument, Temple Square, Elder Austin Rich's Homecoming, Wendy's Birthday and Swimming @ the Koffords!

Day6: This is the Place Monument, Temple Square, and SLC Airport to see Elder Austin Rich come home from Ghana Accra Africa Mission.

Kate had to pee so bad that Wendy just pulled her skirt down and had her pee on the grass, right next to the monument. I'd have done the same with Heidi 2 years ago. Cause I did several times at the park. Darn the parks that don't have a public bathroom.

i loved going to Temple Square when I was young, so I wanted to take my children there so they can experience the warm spirit that is there.

After visiting the North visitor center, we walked across to the Church History Art Museum. This was my favorite piece. Read the description below the picture.

The kids had fun dancing with skirts in the children's section of the museum.

The boys and Heidi fished.

Well, really just the boys did. It was time to go before Heidi had a turn. She was not too happy.

Going to the airport was the main attraction of the day. Well, everything was unique, but this was the real reason we went to Salt Lake. At 4:20 Austins plane was landing with 4 other elders returning home from missions. We waited earnestly to see a man in a white shirt and tie come down the escalator.

I have a ton more pictures other than this. I'll add a new post for that.

After the airport, we all went to In and Out in American Fork for dinner. Audrey sampled just about every drink that was left unattended.

Then Elizabeth invited us over to let the kids play in her yard. It was awesome. All the kids did under-ware swimming in her blow up pool.

Day 7: Happy Birthday Wendy! I went over early in the morning to put up this banner I had made for my mom, put a terribly boring breakfast together for her, ad took the kids so she could get ready w/o them. Not sure if it was that much of a help since she had to hurry and go to a wedding site she was worried about the tables, chairs and linens getting wet from random rain showers. She was doing the flowers, but always worries about everything else...

Later that night, we did go to PF Changs at the mall with our sisters and 3 of Wendy's friends.

Sunday and Monday: Day 4 & 5

We attended the Provo Peak 2nd Ward, my parents and the Smiths' ward.
Naomi and Heidi always love visiting other wards cause they get to go up and be sung to. This particular Sunday was 3 days before Wendy's birthday, so she went up to get a sticker and be sung too, also.

Then, after church the home teacher came to my parents house to visit my parents, when Cameron came up to tell my Dad that he turned the toilet in the basement back on, used it, and didn't turn it back off. So it flooded all over again. My poor mother was so stressed about the whole thing that she couldn't even deal. I told her to make it Camerons problem now and make him clean it up again. So he did.

We had planned to go the Rich Residence on Sunday evening to make a banner to hold at the airport for when Austin Rich came home from his mission. It was fun doing everyones hand prints.

On the way home from the Richs', Audrey did what we all wanted to do, fanned her pits.

Day 5: Seven Peaks Water Park

FHE at the Koffords. Carson gave a short lesson on the priesthood and the importance of why we have it in life and the church.

Flag raising ceremony to change the flag that has been up for two years and is very weather warn.

Dessert; Fat Boys

After FHE, we all piled into the Koffords Suburban and headed to East Lawn Cemetery to watch the sunset at Coopers grave.

After a loooong day of swimming, playing in the sun, fhe and playing more, I asked the girls to get jammies on and wait for me to put Audrey to bed in the kids room at my parents house. When I came out to help brush teeth and say prayers, this is what I found:

I had to instagram it cause they were WIPED OUT!
